Frequently asked questions

Something else? Signed-in teams can ask through Send feedback in the app.

Do my suppliers need to install an app or create an account?

No. You send them a link or QR code in whatever chat app or email you already use with them. It opens a page on their phone where they record video, take photos, upload files and answer questions. There is nothing to install and no password.

What languages does the request page support?

English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean. The page follows the language you set for the contact, or their phone’s language, and they can switch at any time. The message you send them is written in their language too.

Does it work with factories in China?

Links open from the chat apps used in China, and if an app’s built-in browser blocks the camera, the page shows how to open it in the phone’s browser. Uploads resume where they left off after a dropped connection, so a weak factory Wi-Fi doesn’t mean starting over.

Can I ask for documents like invoices, packing lists or shipping labels?

Yes. A step can ask for files: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, text or images. They’re kept with the order under their original names, instead of in someone’s email.

How do I know the photos and videos are recent and real?

Every file shows when it was captured, whether it was recorded in the page or uploaded from the phone, and a SHA-256 fingerprint so any later change can be detected. You can also ask for shots that prove it’s your order, like the carton label with today’s date and your PO number.

Can this replace third-party inspections?

For repeat orders with suppliers you trust, it can stand in for booking an inspector. For new suppliers or high-value orders, use it alongside an independent inspection: Verisling organizes what your supplier shows you; it isn’t a certified inspection.

What if something isn’t right?

Ask for specific steps again, with a note on each (“the label is blurry”). Your contact gets a new link for just those steps. Every submission is kept, so you always have the full history.

Can suppliers ask questions about a request?

Yes. The request page has a “Question or problem with this request?” link. Their message shows up in your Inbox on that task until you mark it answered.

Who can see the videos and files?

Only your team. Evidence is stored privately and served through links that expire after an hour. If you share a read-only report with a customer or colleague, you can turn its link off at any time.

Where is my data stored, and who runs the servers?

On infrastructure run by US companies. Your database and files are on Supabase, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the app is served by Vercel. Data is currently stored in the United States, kept private, and encrypted in transit and at rest.

Can my team work together?

Invite teammates as admins or members. Each task has an owner, the Inbox can show your tasks or everyone’s, and you can reassign, tag and star tasks.

Can I put my own brand on the request page?

Yes. Set the name your contacts see (“Ana from your brand sent you a request”), a logo, colors and a font. Sourcing agents often use their own brand here.

Can I get my data out?

Download your task list as a spreadsheet, or one task’s complete record (every file plus a spreadsheet of answers and fingerprints) as a ZIP.

The quickest way to understand it is to try it on your own phone.
